Peach Crisp

What is the best thing to make when you are bored and you have a container full of peaches? Peach crisp! It is sweet, flavorful, juicy, and tastes even better with ice cream. The best thing about this recipe is that you can also make it with other fruits! I hope you enjoy this recipe whatever filling you decide to make it with.

Peach Crisp

Ingredients

4 cups peaches

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/3 cup flour

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 cup sunflower seeds

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375F. If the peaches have a lot of juice with them, drain the juice into a container. Put the juice in the fridge for another recipe or for drinking. Put the drained peaches into a 9 inch pan, spreading them out to cover the bottom of the pan.

In a food processor, pulse the oats, flour, packed brown sugar, butter, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sunflower seeds. Continue to pulse the ingredients until it forms into pea sized balls. If it doesn't do that, add more butter 1 tablespoon at a time until pea sized balls form. Evenly sprinkle the crumble on top of the peaches.

Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes. The peaches should be bubbling and you should smell the wonderful aroma of the peaches. The crisp might not be as crispy on top when you take it out, but while cooling, it will harden.

For maximum flavor, add some vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
